Sleek, glossy kitchen units in contrasting neutral shades combine with designer up-to-the-minute technology. Both blend effortlessly with the natural wood flooring and delicate, pale blue porcelain wall tiles.

Originally, the client wasn’t sure what they wanted and came to the Gardiner Haskins fitted kitchen showroom for ideas. She set eyes on a yellow colourway of this kitchen in the showroom but felt the yellow would be too strong. Using the same design in another colourway, Alec the kitchen designer, came up with plans using handle-less units. Alec suggested other design features that hadn’t been thought of, including the Neff extractor fan and a bright LED lighting strip along the main wall housing the kitchen units.

The client loves the way the aluminium strip reflects the floor to give the kitchen a floating effect and with no dogs or kids they weren’t worried about getting the kitchen too dirty. It wasn’t all plain sailing during the fitting process, but that’s where Alec came into his own. By liaising with Gardiner Haskins own kitchen fitters, he was able to resolve any hiccups straight away.

“Alec was really nice to work with and had great attention to detail. He project managed it all and liaised directly with fitters to make the whole process so much easier and worthwhile. The only thing I would change; I would have gone with a plain worktop to go with the tiles.”

Favourite Feature: Neff hob with the magnetic dial. This is fantastic as it lifts off the hob when not in use and can be moved around in different positions by pointing and twisting towards your cooking zone to adjust control of the heating.

Reason for Choosing Gardiners: Wanted to support a local independent business (good to support them), with brilliant service. We really liked the product and Alec too.
