To celebrate 45 years of Gardiner Haskins on the Cirencester High Street in 2024, we hosted a Family Fun Day in-store with our local community. We were pleased to welcome hundred's of supporters to the store including customers, friends, families and suppliers. Our staff embraced a 1979/early 80's dress up theme which was very popular with visitors.
The Family Fun Day included craft activities, a grow your own sunflower station and a store trail alongside fundraising efforts. We also enjoyed visits from children’s favourite characters including spider-hero. There was even an Ooni Pizza Oven demonstration in the car park proving there is such thing as a free lunch.
A successful raffle and tombola as well as face painting by Erica from Art Vision Events and a “guess how many balls in the bath” competition helped Gardiner Haskins raise over £1100 for Cirencester Food Bank.
We were also supported in store by Vybra who were demonstrating their home cooling product and ROKU demonstrating their software on Metz TV's.
The event was even attended by local celebrities from the hit TV show, This Country, Charlie and Daisy May Cooper. Daisy said, “Gardiner Haskins is the best shop ever, we have so many fond childhood memories there. It’s so amazing to be able to bring our kids to the store too. What a brilliant event.”
We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported this event and the store on a daily basis.
We wouldn't be Gardiner Haskins Cirencester without you and certainly not for for the last 45 years.
Here's to the next 45!
