Plastic pollution is a massive problem in the world today. Solutions are being sought after for all single use plastic items to stop them ending up in landfill, or worse, our oceans. Beeswax wraps are a natural solution to the problem of cling film. Made from all-natural ingredients comprising of: beeswax, organic cloth, tree resin and organic jojoba oil.

How to use beeswax wraps:

The Bee’s Wrap food wraps are easy to use. The wraps simply mould to the food using the heat of your hands. Easily cleaned by using cool-warm (not hot!) water and a gentle soap. Reuse time and time again.

What can beeswax wraps be used for?

  • Sandwiches
  • Cheese
  • Cooked Meat
  • Cut fruit or vegetables to keep them fresh
  • To cover a bowl of leftovers

Why should we use beeswax wraps?

Cling film is one of the biggest contributions to kitchen household plastic waste. Across Britain we use more than 1.2 billion metres a year. Enough to go around the circumference of the world 30 times. The cling film often ends up in landfill or even worse in the oceans. When in the oceans it is often mistaken for jellyfish and eaten by other marine animals and birds. Bee the change!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Are the beeswax wraps sticky to touch?

No they aren’t. If your wraps go sticky they have been washed in too high a temperature water. The wrap should stick to itself but not to your fingers!

Does it leave a taste on food?

No, there will be a smell to the wraps when first opened. This does not transfer to food and will naturally fade over time.

How long will they last?

With frequent use the wraps would be expected to last approximately a year with proper care.

Are they dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe?

They are freezer safe but we would recommend checking the food after 2-3 weeks to ensure freshness. We would not recommend using in the microwave or dishwasher due to the heat affecting the beeswax.
